It is a nightmare when I help my daughter with her homework.

We always fight.  I try to stay calm but it is very hard.   I want to start her on meds, but my husband is against it.  Any suggestions

Hi Niki!  I went through the same guilt and struggle with my son as he was growing up.  He's 23 years old now, but was first diagnosed with ADD when he was only 5 and we went along with the doctor's directive to put him on Ritalin!  What an awful thing to do to a child.  This many years later, as I reflect, I do remember the frustration, and the special time and attention it took to get a simple homework assignment done.  Not pretty.  The drugs did not help much, to be honest.  After "experimenting" with different types of meds, adderal was the last that he was on, I believe, he was 15 when the divorce came about, he hated how he didn't have an appetite, and he decided on his own that he didn't want to take the pills any longer. He made it through high school with average grades, but did not reach his true potential.  If only I knew then, what I know now!  There is a natural approach that has been proven to work.  If you are interested to find out what it is, please feel free to write to me.  I highly recommend, don't put your child on meds...there is a better way, that is natural, safe and effective.
