Hi everyone,

I just wanted to take a minute (because I am, as the title of this blog says, "taking a mini break").  I have found that one of the best ways for me to get through work during the day is by taking quick breaks every half hour.  I am trying to keep my breaks between 5-10 minutes.  Usually I do something quick and fun; I might play with my dog for a second, make a move on words with friend (iPhone app), or write a quick blog post like this.  These breaks seem to give me the motivation to keep moving through whatever work task is at hand.  Does anyone else use this tactic during the day?  Has it been helpful to you?

One area I need to work on is getting into a routine as soon as I wake up in the mornings.  I spend too much time each day getting started on work.  I know it's a problem, does anyone have any good advice or tactics on how to get going quicker each day?
